Biosafe HM4100 is a new non-silver antimicrobial additive that is said to prevent bacterial, mould and mildew growth on plastics without having a negative impact on optical properties. Addition levels of between 0.2-0.5% mean that the product provides a typical 30% cost saving over silver-based alternatives.

Biosafe containing products are expected to be used in a wide range of consumer and industrial applications including medical devices, building products and consumer goods.
