Retal acquires Ukrainian PET preform maker

Russian PET products group Retal Industries has bought the PET preform moulding plant of plastics closures and preform company Uniplast, of Dnipropetrovsk in the Ukraine. Uniplast, which has additional closure and preform production at sites in Russia and Kazakhstan, was expected to reach an overall moulding capacity in 2008 of 7.5bn preforms. It operates 26 injection presses, all Husky machines, at its main Ukrainian facility.
