RPC Superfos' EasySnacking pack has a spoon in the lid

Packaging company RPC Superfos has announced that its EasySnacking pack has been selected by Lithuania-based food producer Viciunai Group for its range of surimi sticks and fish salads.

The pack has a concealed injection moulded spoon in the lid, which RPC says, makes it ideal for food on the go. Viciunai's fish salad range, which includes surimi sticks with shrimps in white sauce and Atlantic herring fillets in a mushroom sauce, utilise the spoon feature.

Erda Jurgaityte, Packaging Category Purchasing Manager at Viciunai Group said: “We wanted a new type of pack for our new range of salads, and the 210ml EasySnacking appealed to us. The solution is completely new on our market and one of the biggest advantages of the package is the integral spoon, which is smooth and pleasant to touch.”

The EasySnacking pot is also re-closable, stable, and optimised for stacking, states RPC. The company highlights that the pack won the Foodservice Packaging Association Product Innovation Award and has also received a Scanstar.
