Axium Group, based in Andrézieux-Bouthéon, France, has acquired German blow moulder KKT Kaller Kunststoff Technik, expanding its product range and regional footprint. Terms of KKT’s sale to Axium by Heinz Glass & Plastic were not disclosed.

Axium generates about €30m in turnover from its three packaging subsidiaries: Acti Pack and Loire Plastic Industrie (both in Andrézieux-Bouthéon, France) and Acti Pack CZ in Janovice, Czech Republic.

The group produces injection stretch blow moulded PET jars and containers, and also injection moulds caps and closures. It supplies to the personal care, cosmetics and food markets.

KKT has annual turnover of €17m and operates a facility in Kall, Germany. It produces blow moulded containers in PET, PE and PP for the food, cosmetic and chemical industries. KKT sold more than 140 million products in 2015, according to Axium.

Axium, which already has a sales office in Germany, said the acquisition of KKT “strengthens its industrial and commercial presence locally, confirming its pan-European presence as PET packaging provider”.
